The project is a small German brickworks based on an example just outside Munchen.
In Oberföhring lies the former August Haid brickworks - one of 17 brickworks around 1900 in the district. In 1901, Haid built a new brickworks building here (Oberföhringe Straße 186a). In 1923, the brickworks consisted of a kiln with a chimney, a brick drying area, a barn with an attached shelter, a transformer house, drying and storage areas, a residential building with a wood storage area, a toilet and a courtyard. The brickworks was closed in 1965 and has been falling into disrepair ever since.
